Bring on the brass.

{Workstead}
{Amy Meier Design}
In my opinion, San Diego based interior designer, Amy Meier, and Brooklyn based architecture and design collaborative firm, Workstead, have hit the nail on the head with the touches of brass used in both of these kitchen designs. Whether it be found in the drawer pulls, switch plates, around the knobs of the gas range, an oversized range hood, or in the light fixtures I think brass is a very effective accent when paired with simple white cabinets. Workstead took the look in more of an organic modern direction pairing subtle brushed brass accents with a locally crafted black walnut countertop. Amy Meier kept it to a clean and classic feel with solid black granite counter top, white subway tiles, and chrome/stainless steel fittings and appliances.

Thoughts on the brass?
